We have decided to publish it because we are convinced that although Brazilian Political Science has an original contribution to make to our knowledge of politics, its international impact is limited and must be enhanced. We hope that BPSR will be a venue for the diffusion of high-quality work produced in Brazil, thus broadening the exchange of ideas with the international political science community. BPSR is also open to contributions by political scientists from different parts of the world and with different theoretical and methodological perspectives.
